Part 6: My Gospel Shoes!

(This is part 6 of 19 parts in this class)

I am so thankful for my Gospel shoes! As a Christian I've been in many an inhospitable place and passed right through in my Gospel shoes.

We have been given the whole armour of God and a very important part of that whole armour is a pair of Gospel shoes! Paul exhorts,

Stand...having sandalled your feet with a firm foundation of the good news of peace.

Ephesians 6:15 - Expanded Translation

In my Gospel shoes I've kept my footing while I've seen others fall and I've dodged weapons formed against me while others have walked right on into them. In my Gospel shoes I've been able to keep making progress.

The Christian life is a pilgrim's journey. It is a pilgrimage into an ever deepening relationship with God that will lead to a closer walk with Him. The devil will do whatever he can to stop or hinder your pilgrimage. He will use whatever means he has to produce tribulation or a hostile environment for you. He will throw his cohorts in against you on your pilgrim's journey.

The whole armour of God provides you with specialised footwear so you will have "firm-footed stability, promptness and readiness" in the face of the devil's tribulation! (See Eph.6:15 Amplified Bible)
