Where do Moses and Elijah reside now? As I showed you earlier (in the previous part), they're residing in Heaven along with Samuel and all the other Old Testament and New Testament saints who have died in Christ. (See 1 Thessalonians 4:14)
Since Jesus' entrance into Heaven after His resurrection there are just two fixed abodes of men and women once they die. What are these two fixed abodes? Hell (Hades), as we hear of it in the parable of the rich man and Lazarus (Luke 16:22-26), and Heaven, as we hear of it in Revelation 21:9-22:5.
Who resides in Heaven? Those who are written in the Lamb's Book of Life! Who resides in Hell? Those who are not written in the Lamb's Book of Life! How do you get written in the Lamb's Book of Life? By having a part in His life through accepting God's Lamb, Jesus, as your Saviour!

"Our Father in heaven I accept your Son, Jesus, as my personal Saviour and Redeemer. Please set me free from any chain of misfortune and bring me into Your blessing. Write my name in the Lamb's Book of Life. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen."

If you have prayed this prayer from your heart then you have entered a new relationship with God. You now have the life of God through His Son Jesus and your name is in the Book of Life. You have booked an eternal residence in Heaven!

Back to our main topic of psychics and familiar spirits. A familiar spirit is not the spirit of a departed human.
Do you remember the account of the slave girl we looked at earlier whose masters made profit out of her "psychic abilities"? Paul finally got annoyed at her public divination of who he and Silas were and cast out the spirit that possessed her. After this she could no longer divine! It was this spirit that had been giving her her powers. Acts 16:16-19.
A familiar spirit is a devil. Devils take on guises. This is why consulting mediums (psychics) is so dangerous. (See 2 Corinthians 11:14.) Spiritualists and New Age people are naive - they think the spirit world is safe to wander around and consult anyone. Do they act that way in this physical world? No, they use any discernment they have. They realise that there are some very evil people about! Likewise, there are wicked spirits in the realm are physical eyes cannot see.
