You can go beyond believing, you can go on to knowing. Beyond believing there is knowing, not knowing in the intellectual sense but knowing in the spiritual sense of knowing in your heart!

Peter spoke up for all the disciples and said,

"We have come to believe and know that You are the Christ, the Son of the living God."

John 6:69 - NKJV

The disciples not only believed Jesus was the Christ but they also knew He was Christ. Their knowing was one of the heart - they knew in their inner-most being that He was God's Son, the Anointed One. This wasn't an intellectual knowledge they had but a knowledge that was from God.

Jesus told Peter exactly where his knowledge had come from when he said,

"Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven."

Matthew 16:17 - NKJV

Peter's knowledge was revealed knowledge. Peter was blessed because of this knowledge. If you want to be blessed as Peter was blessed - blessed in its true sense of being spiritually empowered to prosper - then you need this revealed knowledge too. You need to go beyond believing to knowing!

As believers, we need to know God and the things of God. This knowing must be that knowledge that is intimated to our spirits by the Holy Spirit and it comes to us as a revelation of God.

Paul wrote,

"Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things that God has prepared for those who love Him. But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God."

1 Corinthians 2:9-10 - NKJV

We need to have the Holy Spirit reveal the things of God to us and for this purpose we have been given the Holy Spirit. Again Paul writes,

"Now we have received...the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God."

1 Corinthians 2:12 - NKJV

The prophet Isaiah asked two searching questions of the people of God,

"Who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?"

Isaiah 53:1 - NKJV

We need to come to the place where we can answer both those questions with a sure, "Yes, me!"

How will this happen? It will happen by the Holy Spirit! We must look to the Holy Spirit for His revelation of the things of God.

The Bible says,

"No one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God."

1 Corinthians 2:11 - NKJV

The Holy Spirit is given to us that we may know God and the things of God. You and I by the Holy Spirit's ministry in our lives can go beyond believing to where we say, "I believe and know!"

Whenever you are hearing in faith God's living Word being preached, faith is coming to you. Now go further; stay with that Word - pondering it in your heart, applying it in your life - until the Holy Spirit reveals the truth, power and preciousness of it. Pray for this to happen. Paul prayed this for the churches and you can pray it for yourself. He prayed,

"May the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power towards us who believe."

Ephesians 1:17-19 - NKJV

The Holy Spirit will reveal God, His will, His word and His ways to you. It will come to you like a explosion of light within. You will know that you know that you know! You will know in your inner man with an absolute knowledge of God!
