Part 3: Standing - not sinking!

(This is part 3 of 9 parts in this class)

You say, "Look where Peter's audacity to walk on water got him; before you know it he was going under!"

When Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus. But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, 'Lord, save me!' And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, 'O you of little faith, why did you doubt?'

Matthew 14:29-33 - NKJV

By declaring your surprise at Peter starting to sink, unknowingly, you've struck on the very key to the whole secret of walking (and living) above it all. When did Peter start to sink? He started to sink when he got his eyes on the circumstances - the wind, the waves, the problems.

For as long as he had his focus on Jesus and the word he had given him he was right up there above it all. It was only when he switched his focus to the sight of the circumstances that he started to sink. You will find it will also be exactly the same for you!

Focus on Jesus and a word He has for you then you'll be up and walking - living - above it all. Only if you switch your focus to the sight of the circumstances will you start to sink. Keep your focus on Jesus and the Word He has for you. This is how you will keep on living above it all!
